Do not adjust your blog...

Abnormal services will resume shortly…

Finally!

I’ve managed to buy my way out of the institution for a few days…okay, until next year. I paid a lot of money only to be informed by the maintenance guy that my couch was due for its annual service anyway. A normal couch is due for service after every 5000 thoughts or every one year, whichever comes first. But since mine are thoughts from beyond, service is due every two months.

Destination?

Uganda. (I’ve been told there’s a couch with an impressive thought mileage in Uganda). So all you bloggers in UG please stand up. I’m headed your way. Iwaya. Country boyi. Baz. Cherie L’amour. Minty, and the lot. Chungeni.

It would be great to meet y’all. Then later after the intros you can get down to showing me around that lovely place o’ yo’s. I wanna see everything.

YEEEHAH!

P.S. I’ll have to kill you guys after. My identity cannot be compromised. I’m in the OMSS (On Mathare’s Secret Service). I’ll be around scouting for potential ward mates in Ug. People like Iwaya have an undisputed visa and reservation. Countryboyi, I had to fight for you, they were giving you permanent status.

Song in head…John Denver’s

All my bags are packed
I’m ready to go
I'm standin here outside…

Okay from here it gets mushy and…er, yah!

Cause I’m leavin on Akamba
I know when I’ll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go…ya right!

I’ll be in UG till next year, that’s if I manage to avoid deportation.

what we do have in plenty though are cafes with lotsa fairly functioning internet cafes so no, i don't expect you are going to get out of blogging as randomly and brilliantly and consistently as always.

komi, that we will know when we get there.

don, the couch is always available to all. i love travelling too. especially to places i've never been. hakuna christmas mi hukaa mtaani. i'm afraid your punda will fika limuru and feel at home and refuse to move.

unyc, i'm bracing myself for the matoke. i hear they cook them pretty darn well.

iwaya, now after all that i can't wait.

guys, guys, i doubt i'll sit my butt in a creaky akamba. hell no! it's just akamba fit nicely in the song...n about blogging, i know there are cyber cafe's but i'm allergic to cybers. i can never sit in a cyber for more than five minutes. i feel like the real world, where i ought to be. is passing me by. cybers are for emergencies.

    tutajua tukifika.

about enjoying myself, i plan to unless the ugandans have other ideas.

klara, bado bado. i'm still hovering around here in kenya emptying my head for the new experiences in the land of matoke, land of seven hills, land where we get kidogo elec from...kwanza i'm going to kata a cable for elec, hopefully it'll be for your digs.

aegeus, i'm hoping for enough 'ingredients' for a delicious blog feast...buffet-style.

i'll not be near a comp from friday, hence the early blog. the closest to a comp i'll be is either as i pass outside a cyber or at the supermarket.

(And don't be like those tired Kenyans who go to foreign lands to hang out with other Kenyans.)

Write more. Let me live vicariously through you.
